Reduce Stress & Create More Time with Decluttering

Now I know when I say decluttering your first thought might be cleaning out all the closets, getting rid of old clothes, and cleaning out that all so famous junk drawer. And yes, this is decluttering and it is one of my favorite kinds.

Today we are not just going to be talking about decluttering space but also decluttering your mind and your processes.

When we declutter our mind, space, & processes we reduce stress and can actually create more time for ourselves.

Let’s start by diving into decluttering the mind.

We all have a to-do list whether it’s a mental one or a physical one. We also all have those things we need to do that we keep putting off because they are just downright unpleasant.  For instance, calling the bank about that unwanted charge, or making that mammogram appointment.

We don’t want to do it, so we keep moving it to the bottom of the list.

The stress-inducing part of this...

10 Ways To Treat Yourself

Do You ever take the time to do something nice for yourself? Do you make time for fun? Well, today we are talking about some of the ways we can really start to not only take care of ourselves at a high level but also treat ourselves and have some fun with it.

You see a lot of us spend most of our time taking care of everyone else for most of our adult lives. Our significant other, kids, friends, our parents, just about everyone we love, and then some.

Some of us even take pride in being this selfless.

But the sad truth is, that if you're not caring for yourself at least at this same level then you will burn out, get overwhelmed, and it will even show up in your body as dis-ease if you do this for an extended amount of time.

Another negative side effect of being selfless is that after focusing on everyone else's well-being for so long and not your own, you lose yourself, you forget what you want and like in life. You feel a bit lost and sometimes stuck.

So today I’m asking you...

How To Stop Judging Yourself

Something I come across quite often when working with people and with myself is how can we all just stop being so hard on ourselves. How can we stop judging ourselves?

Well, the first step is to just be aware.

While this may sound simple, it’s not an easy thing to do.

However, once you start to really notice it will become a habit.

A lot of us just let these negative judgments and thoughts fly through our subconscious without a care. But I want you to stop and think about if someone was saying what you say to yourself to one of your children, a good friend, or a significant other, would it be okay?

I think we all know the answer to that question, heck no!

So the new normal you need to create is that it's not okay to talk to yourself this way either.

Why should you care, why is this important?

Well many really good reasons.

Our words have power. The things we say and feel are what create our reality.

So if you want to...

5 Things To Leave Behind Part 3

Hello Friends!

The third thing I want to leave behind as I move into the next year of my life is crappy food.

I kinda do this already, but now I'm going to take it to the next level.

I already eat a plant-based whole food diet most of the time but what I noticed is when I decide to eat something sweet or some kind of junk food it can be really crappy.

Like crappy chocolate, cookies, or chips.

Instead, If I'm going to eat something like this I'll make sure it's the best.

The best dark chocolate, homemade cookies instead of store-bought, ect.

When you make things yourself, you know exactly what you're putting in your body.

The reason I'm doing this is I want to be in the best health, feel good, and always have my body in a place where it can heal if it needs to.

So I've decided that when I'm going to eat something, let it not just be fun and delicious, let it be a bit better, healthier, than some of the crap I put in my body.

You are either fueling your health or creating...

10 Soul Aligned Deep Self-Care Practices

10 Soul Aligned Deep Self-Care Practices

Start living big, with passion, propose, and impact

A lot of times when we talk about self-care we think of getting a massage, a hot bath, and having a nice warm cup of herbal tea.

These are all great self-care things to add to your life but unless you’re doing them consistently, they will only be surface-level self-care.

There is nothing wrong with surface-level self-care. It will raise your vibe and mood which is always beneficial.

However, we want to do things that will create lasting change in order to protect our energy and create the space for the things we love.

Let us go over 10 soul-aligned deep self-care practices that will help you create the space for a life full of passion, purpose, and impact.

1. Learning the 6 types of self-care

  • Emotional - Things that will help you process your emotions
  • Physical - Things that help you improve your physical health.
  • Mental -...

Step 9 - Love yourself exactly as you are

Step 9 - Love yourself exactly as you are~

If you love yourself exactly the way you are, unapologetically, everyone else will follow suit. Going back to the first step, learning about the things we love definitely helps, you learn more about who you are. Here are a few more questions to ask yourself.

Questions:

  • Are you changing the way you act with certain people to avoid conflict or to make them happy? If so, why?
  • Do you find yourself trying to do things that you don't like to do to please others? Why?
  • Are you worried about sharing your beliefs and dreams with the people you love and spend time with because you're afraid of judgment? Why?
  • Are you judging the way you look by comparing yourself to other women or representations of women in the media you consume?
  • Ask yourself if these are true representations of true women of today or are they unrealistic representations?

These can be signs that you're not in alignment with yourself and are questioning who you are.

Step 8 - De-stress and self-care

Step 8 - De-stress and self-care - Life Purpose Guide

De-stress and self-care

Most of the things we have talked about so far could be considered de-stressors and self-care. You will find if you don't continuously look at the ways you spend your time and reset how you might be doing things, you’ll become unbalanced. Just like riding on a bicycle becomes habitual and second nature, where you don't even have to think about the balance, it just happens, you need to form this same habit with self-care in your life.

Boundaries:

I believe that learning to set boundaries and maintain them so you can protect your energy and time is the foundation of self-care.

How do you know when you need to set a boundary? If you are feeling obligated to do something to keep the peace or to avoid conflict a boundary needs to be placed here.

If you feel like someone is walking all over you or you feel like a doormat, a boundary needs to be set.

Setting boundaries is about deciding what is acceptable...
