Tina 00:00:00 Hello everyone, and I would like to wish everybody a Happy New Year. Today on the Soul Aligned Self-care podcast, I have a special surprise. I'm talking about the aligned and designed New Moon New Year mini workshop. And so I'm going to go over this workshop with you today. That is super fun. Now you don't have to do this on the New moon. Obviously, I think the new moon was a couple of days ago, but this is more about just like planning for your future and doing it in a fun and relaxed way. And I think relaxed is the key word. I think that's something we all need right now. So I call it the no. Should set yourself up for an amazing year. So let's get into it. You're listening to the Soul Aligned Self-care podcast. I'm your host, Tina Stinson, and I had a stroke at the age of 39 from stress and burnout that shook my world. Now I'm laying it all out. The deep level self-care practices and mindset shifts that I needed that kept me healthy, balanced, and thriving.
Tina 00:01:11 Join me in this intimate space as we explore healing, resilience, and the soul's journey to alignment. This is where real conversations about deep level self-care happen. Let's get into it. Hey guys, this feels so weird. It's been a while since I've done a solo podcast. I've been producing a lot of guest episodes, and this week I kind of wanted to share something with you that I'm giving away. It's going to be totally free until February 15th, I believe. and you could just grab a free copy of it on my Patreon. It's called the Aligned and Design New Moon New Year mini workshop the know should set yourself up for an amazing year. Okay, so you could go and grab it completely for free. The link will be in the show notes, but I'm going to go over it in detail today. It's a lot of fun, and I want to emphasize how this is supposed to be kind of like a relaxed way to do a vision board. So I create a kind of a bingo vision board.
Tina 00:02:24 Now I want to tell you where that comes from. So I've been seeing this on different social media. most likely tick tock, because I spend way too much time on TikTok. And I saw people doing like, bingo cards, and I thought, what a fun way to do a vision board. I love doing vision boards. I've done it so many different ways. I've done it where you go get a piece of poster board from the local craft store and you create your own kind of thing. And I like doing it that way because it creates a poster sized board that you can hang up on the wall, and I plan on hanging mine up behind my desk. So this year I'm doing this bingo card, so to speak, and I'm going to be putting it. I'm going to print it out as a poster, which you can do on Canva. So Canva, you can create a free account on Canva and you can print stuff out. It's so cool. I've done it before. It comes out so good, nice and shiny.
Tina 00:03:17 It looks very professional, but what I did was I created this template for you guys and you can go on there and put your goals in there. Just fill everything in. You could add pictures to it. You could do whatever you want to it. So it's very basic right now. And what I want you to do is go in there and add all your personal touches and obviously your goals and your dreams that you want to bring into your life for 2025. So a really fun, really cool way. And then you could either print it out and like the poster, like I'm going to do, and hang it up somewhere where you're going to see it every single day. You could make it artwork for your phone so you could reshape it into phone wallpaper, which is available. You could do that on Canva, and then you can have it as a background on your phone. You could do so many different things. You could print postcards, you could just put it as a background on your computer.
Tina 00:04:15 I like having a physical copy because it's something I'm going to look at. And then I could cross things off every day and it's a bingo card. So you want to be able to cross stuff off so well get all that stuff behind us. And there's so much fun stuff that you can do. Also, I made like a little mini meditation playlist that you can have links to three different meditations that will help, like inspire you while you're doing this work. So really cool. Now, before you get started, when you're going to do this, set the mood, do it on a day where you have some space and you could take an hour or so and, you know, sit down and, you know, light a candle, maybe get a glass of wine or a cup of herbal tea, Whatever you're into, whatever your drink of choice is. And take the time to really think about some of the journal prompts that are going to be inside of this little mini workshop. it's really, really important.
Tina 00:05:14 I think the journal prompts are the most important thing. Yes, I do believe that having the actual vision board is important also because it's like a physical thing and the celebrations are very important also. But answering these questions and really digging deep is so important. This is where the planning is going to come in and the the connection with the past year. So before we move on to the next year, it's really about looking at, you know, you know what we learned some of the fun things that happened where where are the places where we really feel inspired, where are we thriving, and how do we get more of that into our life? But because before you kind of create a roadmap, you have to know where you're at. You have to know where you're starting off. And I always say this, you know, all my courses begin with this little test that I do, and then it's about setting the course. So it's about knowing where you're starting from and knowing where you want to go.
Tina 00:06:16 You know? And it doesn't have to be. You don't have to know exactly where you want to go. You just have to have some kind of direction. Just like when you're setting a GPS, you have to have that starting point. So if you're driving from even if it's very vague, like you're driving from New York to California to LA or whatever, you have to say, I'm starting in New York and I'm going to LA. Otherwise, the GPS is not even going to have the faintest clue about how to get you there. Now, all those little turns in between, you don't need to know. Just like you don't need. You don't need to know everything that's going to happen over the next year and exactly how you're going to do it. It's just about making the intentions, right. Whenever you, whenever you, achieve like a really, really big goal. And I want you guys to really think about this because it's it's so true. Whenever you achieve a really big goal, you could not have planned on how you got there.
Tina 00:07:11 Just look back in hindsight. Look at all the different steps you took, all the different people that helped you, all the different things that contributed to you achieving that goal. You couldn't have planned that. There's no way. So I would say no. Your starting point, no. The direction you want to go and make your intentions and kind of release how that happens because you can't it's nice to have little steps that you know you're going to have to take, but you have to be open to all the little turns that are going to happen that you have no control over, because if you're not open to them, you're just going to make it harder for you to reach your goal. I feel like the universe has like a really, cool, intuitive way of guiding you. And if you're not open to all different types of things coming into your life to help you get there, then it's going to just take you longer. It's almost like you're fighting with yourself. So it's knowing your starting point and looking at the past year and then knowing where you want to go in the new year.
Tina 00:08:08 So, and the affirmation that I chose for this year and you could choose your own is it's already done. Like everything that I'm planning, it's already done. So that's the kind of attitude I'm going to have. And some time, some timeline somewhere. It's already done. And so I just have to release and let go and just see how, you know, I'm going to get there, how the universe is going to take me there. So no matter when you're listening to this, you can use this workshop. Even though I labeled it like the New Moon New Year workshop, you could do this at any time. So sometimes it's really good to go into like six months and then revisit this because things change. You change, the course changes things. You want change. It's just so many things change. So it's really good to revisit this. So I don't want you to think, you know, if you're listening to this episode at another time, I just want to make a point that you could do this any time of the year to set yourself up for success in the next 6 to 12 months of your life.
Tina 00:09:14 You could do it any time. Right now, though, it is a Capricorn new moon. They call it the dark Moon, I think because it's the second new moon of the month, and it's the ultimate time to manifest all of your dreams and goals. Not only does it like mark the beginning of the New Year right now, but it also this new moon invites us to like, reflect, and dream and strategize for the next 6 to 12 months. So in this little today, what I'm talking about. But like in this little workshop, you get to focus on creating peace and joy and fun as the foundation for your year. I think we all need to be able to focus this, you know, focus on these things. And I think it's so important right now because we're under a lot of stress. There's so many changes happening so fast in the world and not all positive. And I think if we can focus on following our own joy, creating that peace for ourselves and our life and having fun in our lives, it kind of makes things a lot easier and happier.
Tina 00:10:15 Besides, when you're focusing on your joy and your passions, you're more aligned with yourself and you tend to step into your purpose just naturally. We're going to plan like actionable steps and structures to achieve long term goals. So what? What are the things that you need to do to reach some of your goals? These we're just going to reflect on this right now. and once again reflect on what lights you up, what brings you more clarity and joy into your life. Now. Now is like a really cool time to do this. We all, we all focus on, you know, some people call it New Year's resolutions. Some people want to set goals for the year. So while January might feel like a starting point, it is winter time. So naturally winter is meant for a time of rest and healing. Okay, it's a time to go inward. It's really not a time to like, be like super achieving. Although if that's how you're feeling right now, go for it. But I think it's really important to take the time to be in this winter mode.
Tina 00:11:19 We all need that rest time. That's, you know, the the trees lose their leaves, the plants die and they rest, and then they make all this brilliant ness when it comes to spring and summer. Right. And then the at the end of the summer is like the harvest, like the absolute beautiful, you know, and production. Right. and then winter's time to rest and heal and build yourself up for that next, you know, big production, so to speak. So it's about these different cycles that we go through. So this workshop that I'm talking about today is more about dreaming and creating without the pressure, setting yourself up to like hit the ground running when you're ready and really tuning to your body and see when when you're ready. So like for me, I always feel super inspired and ready in like March. And so I always feel like really weird in January and February when I can't get started. Like, I have all these big goals and these big dreams that I want to do and I can't, like, just really get into it.
Tina 00:12:20 I can't, especially because I live in the northeast. It's very cloudy and dark and snowy and cold, and I just I'm not inspired to, like, start a new diet or start a new exercise plan, but like March, like when things start melting and defrosting, kind of, so to speak. I am so inspired to get started. So for me, that's what feels natural. So whether your new year begins in, you know, now, March, April or later, it's your chance to plan this. This workshop is your plans to chance to plan for joy. All the wins that you want to have and the progress that you want to make in your life. So I'm going to quickly kind of go over some of the journal prompts. But as I said, go to the link in the show notes and you can go to my Patreon. You could follow me for free there. Or if you're if you're feeling it, you could be a VIP member. but you could get this workshop now completely for free.
Tina 00:13:18 It's going to be free until the 15th, and then after that, you can only have access to it if you're a VIP member. Or you could purchase it for a small fee off of my website. But you can grab this totally for free right now. So I would just say go, follow me for free over there on Patreon and grab it everything for free. So journaling prompts to inspire your vision, and I'm just going to go through these really, really quick. they're not going to all be in the show notes because that's the whole that's the workshop. So go to the Patreon to get these all written out for yourself. and it's already on there as we speak. I already posted it. So you can. You can grab it right away and get started right away. So the first journal prompt is what brought you the most joy in the past year. Okay. Second one is where have you thrived in your life? And this is all like looking back at least six months to a year like 2024.
Tina 00:14:16 What behaviors or habits do you want to release? You know you don't want to have these behaviors or habits anymore. What behaviors or habits do you want to embrace? What new skills or experiences excite you? What scares you the most to pursue? I love this one because whatever scares me the most. I know for a fact, like when it comes to like pursuing things, it's the one thing I need to do to grow and have more success. Whenever I do things that scare me, it always turns out to be like magic. On the other side of that, the next one is how have your biggest challenges helped you grow? It's really important to look at these things and acknowledge how much growth you've had over the past year. What activities and experiences do you want more of? Another important question what do you want a less of? And lastly, who or what brings you the most peace, joy and fun? And how can you amplify these in 2025? How can you bring more of these into your life? Now, this is an important tip, to reflect on the past year I want you to go into.
Tina 00:15:26 These are different ways that you can remind yourself of what happened, because you would be so surprised how much you forget. So you go into your, you know, phone and go into your photos and go back to January of 2024 and then start there and then take notes of all of the wonderful things that have happened. and you, it's amazing how much you forget or you think it was like the year before, you know, it's so interesting. So you go through your photos, go through your social media. If you're heavy duty on social media, go through your calendar if you like the calendar on your phone. Just look at the past year, all the things that you planned, all the things that you did. you'll uncover so many things that you forgot about, so many things. And it's so important to reflect on these things when you're answering these journal prompts. So I would say do this first, like go into your all these things, the photos, the social media, the calendar and write down all the happy moments.
Tina 00:16:22 Write down all of the things that you remember that were maybe challenging. That might be like your calendar app, or maybe even in social media. You just never know. so just like look at everything and write down like the challenges, the lessons and all the fantastic things that have happened to you, then go back and do your journaling prompts that I just talked about. Now, the last part of this workshop that's, I think one of the most fun things to do is I created, as I said, the vision bingo board. Okay. And I got this idea from so many other people that were talking about it on social media, and I thought, how fun is that? I mean, I already do a vision board. I don't set it up like a bingo board, but it's kind of cool to, like, cross things off. And then if you get like five in a row, I'm not actually spelling bingo. I thought of trying to be clever and coming up with a five letter word that I could use, or even if I wanted to make it a different number, but then I was just like, I'm just going to be like five in a row, right? So you're basically going to have 25 goals.
Tina 00:17:28 So to make your vision board actionable and aligned, set five goals across five areas of your life. For example, I'm going to use health, career relationships, personal growth and creativity. And then lastly fun and social. You could change these though. You know like career can be career and money or like whatever you want to work on so you don't have to use mine. I'm just giving you examples. And every time you achieve a goal, you celebrate small celebrations, keep you motivated. While yeah, a big celebration awaits you when you complete, like the bingo card. Or you just do like five across. So I would encourage you to have like all those little small celebrations but have something planned like it could be a concert, a day out or a dinner out, whatever it is for when you get five across and then when, when if you cross off every single 125 goals, or dreams or, you know, inspirations, whatever you want to call them. have another celebration that you could do.
Tina 00:18:30 So I also list a like 25 celebration ideas that you can use for the small celebrations. I'll give you a few right now so you could do, you could buy yourself a beautiful journaling journal or planner. You can buy a personalized piece of jewelry I love. That's a fun one. Whenever I buy jewelry, it always kind of means something. You could do a spa day. and it doesn't have to be a spa day at a spa. You could do it yourself. Like do it, do a like, the DIY kind of, spa day at home. buy yourself a new book. You can buy yourself some fresh flowers, treat yourself to like a yoga class or a meditation class or breathwork class. I'm going to have some of those coming up soon. you can make yourself a special meal or dessert. You could buy yourself a plant, like a potted plant or a succulent. these are just some ideas. And to kind of, like, turn my crank, they make me excited, you know? So think about what makes you really excited, because this, like, builds the momentum when you celebrate.
Tina 00:19:34 And it doesn't always like, as you saw some of the things I mentioned, it doesn't always have to cost money. It could just be really like, I'm going to allow myself to go and take an hour long walk in my favorite park, or go on a hike with a friend. Something that maybe I talk about doing, but I wouldn't normally schedule. But like, I'm going to do this when I achieve this. And you know. You know, get your friends involved. Do this workshop with a friend. Definitely like recommend this podcast episode to a friend so they can grab the free workshop also. so those are just some of the ideas. Think of some of your own. Or if you could just copy my whole list and use them if you want. And as I said, when you cross off five in a row, have like a bigger celebration planned, you know, as I said, like going, getting buying concert tickets or, maybe just a day out to yourself, like take a random day off and, you know, do all your favorite things.
Tina 00:20:32 Like for me, that would be like, go to the coffee shop or go somewhere and get a vegan meal. go. I love going to bookstores. Like, I just love buying books. So that would probably involve that, or walking nature or going for a run and then getting a smoothie. That's like my day. Like a whole day. It doesn't have to be a whole day. It could be a half day, whatever you're into. So another thing that I include is links to three meditations. Well, there's two meditations and one affirmation recording, and these are to help you get inspired. So one is called Awaken Your Inner Spark. the second one is called Embracing Daily Joy, because I think it's so important in this next year to focus on joy. When we focus on joy, we get more aligned with our self. When we're more aligned, we get more in flow and we're more in flow where we're living our purpose, you know? So if you're feeling stuck and you're feeling like, you know, you don't know what your purpose is, this is it's as simple as just following joy.
Tina 00:21:37 Success leaves clues. So follow the follow the clues, which is joy, you know, anything fun, anything that is inspiring. Those are the clues that you're supposed to be following. It's very, very simple. So I think that we follow like the simple. The simple way to create success in your life is by following inspiration, joy and all those things that light us. Follow that lit up path. When you feel lit up, do those things over and over and it's going to automatically guide you into your purpose. So there'll be three links for those three meditation ones an affirmation, recording affirmations for positive focus. So you could use that every single day. You could wake up and do that every single morning. And I created, like I said, the bingo vision board for you. So I created it on Canva. Now Canva has a free version, as I said already, and I'm going to give you the exact link and it should take you. I'm not even sure if you have to sign up for it.
Tina 00:22:46 It's going to take you right to Canva. You might have to sign up for it if you want to print it out and do a poster. So it has that free version. And as I said, if you want to really make it official, you can make the poster. They have three sizes small, medium and large. I don't know the exact sizes, but they tell you on Canva and they start at $12. It's just so worth it to me. And because you can customize this and make it your own, I would like add pictures. Whatever makes you happy. You know, you could change the colors, you could do everything. and be sure, be sure when you're going to print it out. You change the setting from fine art to gloss, because you'll see the price for fine art is like it. The starting price is $47, so just change it to gloss and you'll be able to have like that nice glossy poster. Now, if you're like my age. And that was like, I don't know if that's a thing anymore.
Tina 00:23:45 Like you go to the, you know, the store and you buy your favorite band poster or I swear to God, I had like a Sean Cassidy poster hanging in my room. My whole all my walls were covered with posters. It's like that. It feels just like that. So I know I'm showing my age, but I don't care. And that's the type of poster you're going to get. It's so professional looking. I, I love doing this. I do this every year. this is the first year I'm doing the bingo card, but I do it every year with a vision board somehow. And I print it out, and I love just having it and then crossing things off on the wall. So as I said, this workshop is free for a limited time. It includes the journal prompts, the the the Vision Board bingo template, and then the meditation playlist for you. So just head over to the Patreon. The link will be right in the show notes and grab it and have fun! Just have fun with this and remember your starting point is your starting point.
Tina 00:24:43 So I call this the no Should Vision Board workshop. So it's not. Don't listen to what everyone's telling you to do. Like January 1st. You have to do this and you have to do everything all at once. It just sets you up for failure. If you're feeling inspired to do something, I would really, really focus on self-care and self-love starting because we're in winter. We're in like, you know, hibernation, heal and rest mode. So if you have some of those self-care and self-love goals, you can focus on those and really, really go into, well, you know, if you're the type of person that wants to add meditation, you know, in the new year, you want to add breathwork in the new year, maybe you want to start doing yoga in the new year. Just chill and do what feels good or do nothing at all but plan it out. Have fun, be creative, follow your joy, follow your passion and have like the best lit up next six months to 12 months of your life.
Tina 00:25:51 All right, I'll see you next week by.
